On August 28, former Saltzman Institute Visiting Scholar Rafael Mesquita had a co-authored article published in the Journal of Peace Research titled, “The references of the nations: Introducing a corpus of United Nations General Assembly resolutions since 1946 and their citation network.” The article explores what have been some of the main themes debated at the UN since foundation based on the analysis of thematic clusters detected through network analysis of resolutions. It also delivers a new corpus containing all resolutions adopted by the UN General Assembly from 1946 to 2019, the network of citations between them, and an online tool for exploring them. You can read it online here.
