Matt Rambo is a senior studying political science at Columbia University in New York City. Alongside his academic pursuits, he serves as an Operations Sergeant in the National Guard and is the President of the Military Veterans of Columbia University. Additionally, Matt is a veteran mentor, helping fellow veterans transition to civilian life and succeed in their academic and professional goals. Before coming to Columbia, Matt served as the Senior Communications Sergeant for an Operational Detachment Alpha (ODA) for over five years, specializing in communications and foreign internal defense. He has deployed multiple times, including twice to Afghanistan for Operation Freedom Sentinel, participated in missions in Central America, and took part in joint training exercises throughout the world.
