Joseph Karaganis is a junior in Columbia College studying Philosophy and Political Science. He is interested in AI policy, data governance, and international law. At Columbia, Joseph is a managing editor for the Columbia Political Review and has worked as a research assistant for INCITE, a social science institute. As a Laidlaw scholar, he has studied the impact of generative AI on newsrooms and worked on European technology regulation at the University of Amsterdam Law School. Outside of the classroom he enjoys reading, traveling, martial arts, and independent film.
