Cameron Spurr is a junior in Columbia College, majoring in Political Science. Originally from the U.K., Cameron’s political perspective is shaped by his dual-national background, which has fueled a passion for international relations. He is particularly fascinated by U.S.-China relations, responses to climate change, and human rights. He hopes to apply all that he learns at Columbia and beyond to a career in government or as a journalist covering global politics. Outside of the classroom, Cameron writes for the University News section of the Columbia Daily Spectator and serves as an Advising Fellow with Matriculate, an organization dedicated to offering free college advising to high-achieving, underprivileged high school students across the U.S. Cameron’s other interests include aviation, music production, and playing basketball.
