The Columbia Seminar on Defense and Security and the Arnold A. Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies presents:
“A Series on the Realities of Global Terrorism”
Whitney Kassel is a director at Palantir, a big data analysis firm which has undertaken several projects in counterterrorism for the U.S. Intelligence Community and U.S. Department of Defense. Kassel is also a current columnist for Foreign Policy magazine. Previously, Kassel worked in the Office of the Secretary of Defense where she focused on special operations and counterterrorism and then later, as a senior director focused on strategic analysis and risk management at the Arkin Group, a private intelligence firm.
The seminar is co-chaired by Nancy Walbridge-Collins and Austin Long.
