Grant Ennis, recently the head of mission for Norwegian People’s Aid’s Syria program in Turkey, currently runs his own research firm along the Syrian-Turkish border in the town of Gaziantep. He has worked to develop the capacity of the Syrian opposition, as well as the Iraqi and Iraqi-Kurdish governments over the last three years. In total, he has worked in international development (with and for organizations including Mercy Corps and UNICEF) for 7 years in Iraq, Syria, Central America, and East Africa. He holds an MPA from the Monterey Institute of International Studies.
