On September 9, SIWPS Member Kimberly Marten appeared on Al Jazeera America discussing the recent proposal from Russia to disarm Syria of their chemical weapons. In a segment called “Putin’s Syria offer ‘a brilliant move,'” Marten believes that this new proposal could potentially be a win for all sides, and a way to avert a military strike on Syria.
