Commander Marten Perolin will address French-American law enforcement cooperation as practiced within the N.Y.P.D. Intelligence Bureau. He will also present an overview of the overall France-US law enforcement relationship across the spectrum of state, local and Federal departments and agencies focusing primarily on organized crime, intellectual property rights and, to a lesser extent, counter-terrorism. Additionally, he will draw upon his extensive internal law enforcement cooperation experience (especially within the European Community and East Asia) in providing perspective on these topics.
A career French National Police professional, Commander Marten Perolin is working as the Senior Liaison Officer to the N.Y.P.D. Intelligence Bureau in charge of cooperation with local law enforcement agencies. Graduating from the French Republic’s National Police Academy in 1985, Commander Marten Perolin has developed an international (with Asian regional focus) reputation for investigative expertise regarding both domestic and cross-border money laundering; serious economic crimes; corruption; and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). Commander Marten Perolin has extensive experience as an IPR national and international trainer and speaker for French universities, police academies, Interpol within the French Republic, the European Union, the Council of Europe, Europol, the Middle East, North Africa as well as the People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Vietnam and Cambodia.
