Bonnie Rose Schulman is a Special Assistant at the Arnold A. Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies and Managing Editor of the Journal of Middle East Women’s Studies at Yale University.  Her interests include international relations, U.S. national security and foreign policy, Middle East history and politics, and written communication.

Schulman previously worked for the Saltzman Institute as a Program Assistant and as a Special Assistant to Senior Research Scholar Kenneth N. Waltz.  She also served as Senior Editor of Columbia University’s Journal of International Affairs.  In 2008, Schulman received a Harold W. Rosenthal Fellowship in International Affairs to work at the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Europe.  She has also worked or volunteered at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, the Consulate General of Israel to New England, NBC News, the New Initiative for Middle East Peace, and the Joe Lieberman for President and Robert Reich for Governor political campaigns.  Schulman has studied Hebrew, Arabic, and Japanese.

Schulman received a B.A. from Tufts University and an M.I.A. from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.  She has also studied at Kanda University of International Studies in Chiba, Japan and at the University of Judaism in Jerusalem, Israel.
